Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, mozzarella, ricotta, minced garlic, oregano, basil, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
- Take your slices of bread and spread a generous amount of the cheese mixture onto four of the slices.
- Place the remaining slices of bread on top to create sandwiches.
Grilling
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a little butter or olive oil.
- Once hot, carefully place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook them for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and the cheese is melting.
- When both sides are browned, sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top of the sandwiches in the skillet, cover for a minute to let it melt.
Notes
Consider adding spinach or sautéed mushrooms to the cheese mixture for extra flavor. Cut the sandwiches into triangles for easy sharing.
