Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 loaf loaf of crusty bread (like Italian or French)
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained Fresh spinach can be used too; sauté first to reduce moisture.
  • 1 cup canned artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Can be substituted with Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted For drenching the bread.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the bread into squares without cutting all the way through the bottom.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the spinach, artichokes, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Drench the sliced bread with melted butter, ensuring it seeps into every crevice.
  4. Carefully stuff the cheesy mixture into the cuts of the bread.
  5. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is gooey and golden.

Notes

For a fancier touch, garnish with fresh basil or parsley. If any filling escapes while baking, it's just extra cheesy bites to enjoy!
