Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, artichoke hearts, mozzarella, minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet.
- Cut the pastry into squares about 3 inches wide.
- Place a spoonful of the cheesy filling in the center of each square. Fold corners over the filling and seal well.
- Beat the egg and apply a light egg wash over each pastry.
Baking
- Place the pastries on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm, optionally garnished with extra herbs.
Notes
Feel free to substitute mozzarella with feta or goat cheese. Prepare ahead and freeze before baking for later use.
