  • 2 pieces ripe pears, sliced Bartlett, Anjou, or Bosc will work great.
  • 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled The more 'blue,' the better!
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped For that crunchy touch!
  • 4 cups mixed greens Spinach, arugula, or your choice of leafy greens.
Dressing Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a sauté pan over medium heat, add a swirl of olive oil. Toss in your sliced pears and cook for about 5 minutes until they start turning golden.
  2. Drizzle a tablespoon of honey over the pears and stir until they’re glistening and perfectly caramelized.
  3. In a separate, dry pan over medium heat, toast the walnuts for about 2-3 minutes until they turn golden and fragrant.
Assembly
  1. In a large bowl, toss the mixed greens and top them with the warm caramelized pears, crumbled blue cheese, and toasted walnuts.
  2. Drizzle balsamic vinegar and additional olive oil over the salad. Add salt and pepper to taste and gently toss to combine.
Serve
  1. Plate the salad and serve while warm. Enjoy your masterpiece!

Notes

If you prefer a milder cheese, consider using goat cheese or feta. For extra flavor, add dried cranberries or apples. Store leftovers in an airtight container, keeping the dressing separate to maintain freshness.
