For the Bites
  • 1 box box of puff pastry cups You can use phyllo dough or mini tart shells as a substitute.
  • 1 round round of brie cheese You can try using a flavored brie if desired.
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped The star of the show.
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries Tart flavor to complement the sweetness.
For the Candied Topping
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar For the sweet touch.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted Melted magic.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon Adds cozy warmth.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances the sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, dried cranberries, melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until well-coated.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Place puff pastry cups on a baking sheet and cut the brie into small chunks, placing a piece in each cup.
  2. Top each cup with a generous spoonful of the candied pecan mix.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the brie is gooey.
  4. Let them cool for a minute before serving.

Notes

Feel free to mix in other nuts or fruits like walnuts or almonds. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for a couple of days.
