  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp make a significant difference!
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning Feel free to go homemade.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice For a zesty kick!
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse your shrimp under cold water and ensure they are nice and dry.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until the shrimp turn pink.
  3. Flip them over and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle with lemon juice. Toss in the chopped parsley.
Serving
  1. Serve your Cajun shrimp over rice, with crusty bread, or in a hearty salad.

Notes

Make it your own by adding your favorite spice blend like smoked paprika or cayenne. Don’t crowd the pan if doubling the recipe.
