Preparation
- Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and let it warm up.
Cooking
- Add the sliced onion and let it soften for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and stir until fragrant for another minute.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat the cabbage.
- Cover the skillet and let the cabbage steam for around 10-15 minutes, stirring once or twice.
- Once tender but still crunchy, taste and adjust seasoning. Add lemon juice and red pepper flakes if desired.
- Serve on a plate as a side dish or pair with grilled chicken or tofu.
Notes
This dish keeps well in the fridge for up to three days. It gets even better the next day!
