Ingredients
Method
Activate the Yeast
- In a bowl, whisk together the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it’s frothy.
Mix the Ingredients
- In a separate large bowl, beat the eggs and add the melted butter. Pour in the yeast mixture and mix well.
- Slowly sift in the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead and Rise
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Roll It Out
- Once risen, punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface.
- Roll it into a rectangle, about 12x18 inches, and spread Nutella over the dough, leaving a small border.
Swirl and Shape
- Starting from one long end, tightly roll the dough into a log and pinch the seams to seal.
- Twist and fold it to create a swirl.
Bake
- Place the twisted log into a greased loaf pan. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Once risen, bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool and Serve
- Let it cool slightly in the pan before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and serve.
Notes
For extra Nutella indulgence, feel free to add more. To speed up the rising process, place the covered dough in a slightly warm oven. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
