These bars combine the delightful crunch of Butterfinger candy bars with creamy caramel and a crispy graham cracker base, making them a perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers a little crunch never hurt anyone!
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Butterfinger candy bars, chopped the more, the merrier!
  • 1 cup caramel sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips chocolate makes everything better
  • 1 pinch sea salt optional, but highly recommended!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and sugar until well combined.
  3. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper and press your graham cracker mixture evenly into the bottom.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until golden.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle caramel sauce over the base and sprinkle chopped Butterfinger on top.
  6. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth, then pour over the caramel and Butterfinger layer.
  7. Sprinkle with sea salt if using, and refrigerate for at least an hour until set, then cut into squares.

Notes

These bars can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. For a decadent twist, try swapping in different candy bars. Involve kids in the layering process for some fun kitchen bonding!
