Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Place the lobster tails on a cutting board and cut through the top shell lengthwise, stopping just before the tail fin.
Basting
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on the exposed lobster meat.
- In a medium skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (around 1-2 minutes).
Cooking
- Transfer the lobsters (cut side up) to a baking dish.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the lobster tails.
- Bake for about 12-15 minutes, basting with the butter halfway through.
- Check that the meat is opaque and flaky; they are done.
Serving
- Remove the lobster tails from the oven, and serve garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
Notes
Don't overcook to avoid a rubbery texture. Experiment with seasonings like red pepper flakes or fresh herbs for added flavor. A squeeze of fresh lemon just before serving enhances taste.
