Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and toast until golden brown for about 8-10 minutes.
- Chop the tomatoes into bite-sized pieces and place them in a mixing bowl. Add chopped basil, a splash of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss gently.
Assembly
- Once the bread is cool enough to handle, scoop burrata onto each slice and top with the tomato-basil mixture.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired and serve.
Notes
Choose the ripest, juiciest tomatoes for the best flavor. You can prepare the tomato-basil mix ahead of time. If burrata is unavailable, you can substitute with fresh mozzarella.
