Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 whole fully cooked ham (about 8-10 pounds)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Place the ham, flat side down, in a roasting pan.
Glaze Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and cloves until smooth.
  2. Brush the glaze all over the ham, saving a little for the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Baking
  1. Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  2. Uncover for the last 30 minutes to let the sugar caramelize.
Serving
  1. Allow the ham to rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Leftovers can be made into sandwiches or scrambled with eggs. To add zing, consider adding a splash of orange juice to the glaze.
