Ingredients

Seafood Ingredients
  • 2 pieces lobster tails, thawed
  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
Garlic Butter Mixture
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • to taste salt and freshly ground black pepper
Serving Garnish
  • 2 pieces lemon wedges for serving

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your broiler to high.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the minced garlic, lemon juice, and chopped parsley, then let it simmer for a couple of minutes until fragrant.
  3. With a sharp knife, carefully halve the lobster tails lengthwise. Place them cut side up on a baking sheet and drizzle some garlic butter mixture over the tails, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. On the same baking sheet, arrange the jumbo shrimp around the lobster tails and brush them with the remaining garlic butter, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Slide the baking sheet under the broiler for about 8-10 minutes, until the lobster meat turns opaque and the shrimp is pink and slightly charred.
Serving
  1. Transfer the seafood to a serving platter and garnish with lemon wedges. Squeeze a bit of lemon juice over everything before serving.

Notes

Garlic butter may appear lumpy; reheat gently if it solidifies. For an impressive presentation, use kitchen shears to cut through the lobster shell and pull the meat on top.
