Ingredients
  

Popcorn Base
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels use air popper, stovetop, or microwave
Coating
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips melted
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder sift before adding
  • 1-2 tablespoons red food coloring adjust for desired color
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt to enhance sweetness
  • optional sprinkles for decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pop the popcorn kernels using an air popper, stovetop, or microwave without butter.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  3. Sift the cocoa powder into the melted chocolate and mix until well blended.
  4. Add the red food coloring and stir until the mixture is evenly colored.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the popped popcorn and drizzle the chocolate mixture over it. Toss gently to coat the popcorn.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and toss again to distribute.
  7. Spread the popcorn on a lined baking sheet and let it set for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Add sprinkles if desired before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days. Can substitute white chocolate with milk or dark chocolate.
