- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and rub the spice mixture generously over each fillet.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the salmon fillets to the skillet skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without touching.
- Flip the fillets carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through and charred.
Serving
- Gently remove the salmon from the skillet and serve with fresh lemon wedges.
Notes
Ensure fish is dry for a golden crust. Adjust spice levels for picky eaters. Watch the heat to prevent burning spices.
