Ingredients
  

Beef Marinade
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced You can use any tender cut of beef.
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper This is the key ingredient!
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Optional, for an extra layer of flavor.
Stir-Fry Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Or any cooking oil you have on hand.
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced Adds a magic touch!
  • to taste salt

Method
 

Marinate the Beef
  1. In a bowl, combine the beef, black pepper, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes while you prep your vegetables.
Cook
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  2. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until browned.
  3. Add the bell pepper, broccoli, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry everything together for another 5 minutes until the veggies are tender-crisp.
  4. Taste and adjust salt as necessary.
  5. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

Chop vegetables in advance for quicker prep. High heat is important for stir-frying. Feel free to use any leftover veggies you have.
