- In a medium bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
- While the beef is marinating, prepare the green beans and mushrooms.
Cooking
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and sauté until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add mushrooms, green beans, garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Stir-fry everything together until the green beans are tender yet crisp, about 4-5 more minutes.
- Drizzle in the sesame oil (if using) and toss everything well. Adjust with more black pepper if desired.
Serving
- Serve hot over steamed rice, quinoa, or enjoy it as is.
Notes
For quicker preparation, consider pre-slicing beef at the grocery store. For added crunch, toss in some cashews or more garlic. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
