- Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring for about 5-7 minutes until it reaches a rich golden-brown color.
- Pour the toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
- Quickly sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the hot toffee and let them sit for a minute before spreading the melted chocolate.
- Sprinkle your chosen nuts over the chocolate layer, pressing down lightly.
- Let the toffee cool completely at room temperature or place it in the fridge for quicker cooling before breaking into pieces.
Notes
Stir the mixture occasionally until it boils but avoid stirring after that. Store toffee in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for longer storage.
