Ingredients

For the Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor to the sauce
  • 2 cups heavy cream Creates a creamy texture
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Enhances the sauce flavor
Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Main protein for the dish
  • 1 package (16 ounces) tortellini (fresh or frozen) The main pasta element

Method

Cooking the Beef
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a low simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking the Tortellini
  1. If you're using fresh tortellini, add it directly to the sauce and cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until tender.
  2. If you opted for frozen tortellini, you'll want to cook it according to the package instructions before adding it to the sauce.
Serving
  1. Once the tortellini is coated in the creamy Parmesan sauce, it’s ready to be plated.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley to add a pop of freshness.

Notes

Don’t be shy with the cheese! The more Parmesan, the creamier and more flavorful the sauce will be. If you want to add a little spice, consider tossing in some red pepper flakes when simmering the sauce. Leftovers can be easily reheated. Just add a splash of milk when warming to re-creamy the sauce!
