Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 8 ounces spaghetti Use whole wheat for a healthier option.
Protein
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
Vegetables
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
Seasonings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Add more for extra flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper
For Serving
  • grated Parmesan cheese Optional, for serving.

Method
 

Cooking the Spaghetti
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then add the spaghetti. Cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  2. Drain and set aside.
Sautéing the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, drizzle in the olive oil, then add the ground beef.
  2. Cook it, breaking it up with a spoon until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Adding Vegetables
  1. Toss in the sliced peppers and minced garlic. Sauté for another 4-5 minutes until the peppers soften.
  2. Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the drained spaghetti into the skillet, tossing everything together until well combined and heated through.
Serving
  1. Plate the dish, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and serve.

Notes

Feel free to add a splash of soy sauce or red pepper flakes for extra flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
