Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley Optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat Your Grill: Fire up your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Marinate Those Shrimp: In a bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, BBQ sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Toss in the shrimp and ensure they’re well coated. Let them marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Skewer Time: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread shrimp onto the skewers, leaving space in between for even cooking.
Cooking
  1. Grill Away: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until the shrimp are pink and slightly charred.
  2. Serve: Remove from the grill and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve with rice or a crisp green salad.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp; they can become rubbery. Try adding cayenne pepper to the marinade for a spicy kick. This recipe is perfect for meal prep; leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
