Preparation
- Preheat your grill to medium heat or oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and any optional spices.
- Coat the beef ribs with olive oil and rub your spice blend all over them.
Cooking
- For grilling: Place the ribs directly on the grill. Cover and cook for about 2.5 – 3 hours, flipping halfway.
- For the oven: Wrap seasoned ribs in aluminum foil and bake for about 3 hours for tender results.
- In the last half hour of cooking, brush BBQ sauce on the ribs and allow it to caramelize.
Serving
- Once cooked, remove ribs from heat, let them rest a few minutes, then serve.
Notes
For a smokier flavor, marinate your ribs with a dry rub overnight. If you can't handle heat, leave out hot spices.
