  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 ounces small wheel of brie cheese approximately
  • 2 tablespoons fig jam
  • 3-4 slices prosciutto
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 large egg, beaten for egg wash
  • to taste n/a Fresh figs for garnish, optional
  • to taste n/a Fresh rosemary for garnish, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface large enough to wrap around the brie.
  3. Place the wheel of brie in the center of the pastry and spread the fig jam on top.
  4. Layer the prosciutto over the fig jam.
  5. Fold the pastry over the brie and seal the seams tightly to prevent leaks.
  6. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake on a lined baking sheet for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let cool briefly before drizzling honey over the brie and garnishing with fresh figs and rosemary, if desired.
  9. Slice and serve with crackers, fruits, or bread.

Notes

Don't skip the puff pastry! You can experiment with other jams or add nuts for extra texture. Keep an eye on the baking time as ovens may vary.
