Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon adds flavor
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
Additional
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries or frozen
  • powdered sugar optional for dusting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and egg until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries, being careful not to over-mix.
  6. Using a small ice cream scoop or two spoons, drop the batter onto a greased baking sheet, leaving space between each dollop.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Let them cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes

These bites can be frozen uncooked or baked. To bake from frozen, add a few extra minutes to the baking time. Feel free to experiment with different types of berries!
