Method
Bake the Chocolate Cake
- Preheat your oven according to the package instructions for the chocolate cake.
- Prepare the cake mix as indicated and bake it in a 9×13 inch pan.
- Once it’s golden and delicious, set it aside to cool completely.
Make the Cheesecake Filling
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Gradually add in the Baileys Irish Cream, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, and then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
Assemble the Trifle
- Once your chocolate cake is cooled, cut it into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large glass trifle dish (or individual cups if you prefer), layer a generous amount of chocolate cake cubes followed by a layer of the cheesecake filling.
- Repeat these layers until your dish is filled, ending with the cheesecake on top.
Garnish and Chill
- Top your masterpiece with chocolate shavings or a light dusting of cocoa powder.
- For an extra touch of indulgence, feel free to add a dollop of whipped cream.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld.

Don’t skimp on the Baileys! Consider drizzling a little extra Baileys over the cake layers for added flavor. Get creative with layers by adding crushed cookies or fresh berries for a twist.
