Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, then chop it into bits.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, onion, garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish. Optionally, add extra cheese on top.
Cooking
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serving
- Cut into thick slices and serve with your favorite sides and extra ketchup.
