  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound bacon, diced You can use turkey bacon as a substitute.
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 cups tater tots These are the main base of the casserole.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to add more cheese as desired.
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the diced bacon and chopped onion and cook until the bacon is crispy and the onions are soft. Drain any excess grease.
Assembly
  1. Spread half of the tater tots evenly in a large baking dish.
  2. Top with the beef-bacon-onion mixture, sprinkle half of the cheese, and layer the remaining tater tots on top.
  3. Add the rest of the cheese on top.
Egg Mixture
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pour this mixture over the casserole, ensuring all ingredients are evenly soaked.
Baking
  1. Cover the baking dish lightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serving
  1. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve and enjoy with your family.
