Preparation
- Toast the slices of bread in a toaster until golden and crispy.
- While the bread is toasting, cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Mash the avocado with a fork, keeping some texture.
- Add the crumbled feta cheese, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to the mashed avocado. Mix until well combined.
Assembly
- Spread the avocado mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and optionally drizzle with olive oil.
Notes
For best results, use ripe avocados. Store leftover avocado mixture with plastic wrap pressed against the surface to minimize browning.
