Preparation

Mixing
- Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped apples and pecans.
Baking
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan. Top with extra pecans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cooling
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- Slice and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
Notes
For best flavor, use a mix of sweet and tart apples like Granny Smith and Honeycrisp. You can substitute pecans with walnuts or omit them for a nut-free version. This recipe can also be made in one bowl for easier cleanup.
