Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well blended.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just blended. Fold in the diced apples and nuts if using.
Baking
- Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for about 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Check around the 50-minute mark.
Cooling
- Let the Apple Bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- Slice and enjoy!
Notes
For a healthier twist, substitute oil with applesauce. Keep leftover bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for later use.
