Preparation
- Trim any extra fat from the chicken and place it in the slow cooker.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken. If using bell peppers, add them now.
Cooking
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
Serving
- Once the chicken is tender, shred it with a fork and serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
Notes
For extra flavor, season chicken with Italian herbs before adding the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for later.
