- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- ½ cup sliced black olives
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Combine ground beef, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs in a large bowl. Mix gently and press into the baking dish.
- Bake the meat layer for 15 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Spread marinara sauce over the burger layer, leaving a half-inch border.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and provolone cheeses evenly over the sauce.
- Arrange pepperoni, bell pepper, and black olives on top.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.
- Let the dish stand for 5-10 minutes, garnish with basil, and serve.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey for beef and use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
