Description

A foolproof, soft, and moist banana bread recipe that transforms overripe bananas into a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and mix well.
  4. Stir in the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix to combine.
  6. Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas. Feel free to add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor!
