A luxurious combination of filet mignon and lobster tails, perfectly cooked to elevate your dining experience.


Ingredients

  • 2 (6-8 oz) filet mignon steaks
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 lobster tails (68 oz each)
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, chives)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steaks: Remove steaks from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to reach room temperature. Pat dry with paper towels, season with salt and pepper.
  2. Prepare the Lobster Tails: Cut through the top shell of each lobster tail and separate the meat from the shell, then mix melted butter with lemon juice and paprika.
  3. Make the Garlic Herb Butter: Combine all butter ingredients in a bowl, mix until well incorporated, shape into a log and refrigerate.
  4. Cook the Filet Mignon: Heat a cast-iron skillet, add oil, sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side, adding butter, garlic, and rosemary to baste.
  5. Broil the Lobster Tails: Place lobster tails on a baking sheet and broil 4-5 inches from heat for 5-7 minutes until opaque.

Notes

For a healthier version, substitute filet mignon with bison tenderloin and use olive oil instead of butter.
