- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup chicken broth (low-sodium)
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prep your vegetables ensuring consistent sizes for even cooking.
- Brown the sausage in a large oven-safe skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat for 7-8 minutes.
- Sauté the onion in the sausage drippings until translucent, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Combine the sausage, potatoes, green beans, herbs, and chicken broth in the pan.
- Bake covered with foil for 30 minutes, then uncover, add cheese if using, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
