- 1 pound sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 3 tablespoons butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Optional: 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
Instructions
- Prepare and season the steak: Slice the steak against the grain and toss with Cajun seasoning. Let it rest at room temperature.
- Cook the pasta and prepare the base: Boil salted water, cook fettuccine, and sauté onions and bell peppers in butter.
- Sear the steak to perfection: Cook the steak strips in the skillet until caramelized and slightly undercooked.
- Create the creamy Cajun sauce: Add garlic, heavy cream, and Parmesan to the skillet, stirring until smooth.
- Combine and finish the dish: Return steak and vegetables to the skillet, add pasta, and toss until well combined.
Notes
For added freshness, serve with cherry tomatoes and garnish with parsley. To reduce calories, consider using lighter cream alternatives.
