  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (Italian-seasoned or plain)
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking
  • For the Alfredo Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix gently until just combined. Chill for 10 minutes.
  2. Form mixture into 1½-inch balls to get approximately 16-20 meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs in batches until browned and cooked through, about 12-15 minutes.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic, sauté until fragrant. Pour in cream and simmer gently. Whisk in Parmesan until smooth, season with salt and pepper.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet, gently coating them in the Alfredo sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Notes

For lighter options, swap ground beef for turkey or chicken, and use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
