- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup French onion soup (canned or homemade)
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, French onion soup, bread crumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 45 minutes.
- Sprinkle the grated Swiss cheese on top and return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Substitute Swiss cheese with cheddar or provolone if needed.
