Ingredients

🐔 1 whole chicken (3.5–4 lbs)
🧄 1 tbsp garlic powder
🌿 1 tbsp dried thyme
🧂 1 tbsp kosher salt
🧅 1 tbsp onion powder
🧈 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
🌶️ 1 tsp smoked paprika
🧛‍♂️ 1 tsp black pepper
🍋 1 lemon (optional, for cavity)
🌿 Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional, for cavity)


Instructions

Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. This helps crisp the skin.
Season: In a small bowl, mix all dry spices. Rub olive oil or melted butter all over the chicken, then coat with seasoning mix.
Optional Stuffing: Place halved lemon and herbs in the cavity.
Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (180°C). Place chicken breast-side down and cook for 30 minutes.
Flip & Finish: Flip the chicken breast-side up and cook an additional 25–30 minutes, or until internal temp hits 165°F (75°C).
Rest: Let rest for 10 minutes before carving. Enjoy that crispy perfection!

Notes

For extra crispiness, dry-brine the chicken with salt overnight.
Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.
You can adapt seasoning to your preference (Cajun, lemon-pepper, etc.).
